These are the puppies of Rancho El Destino. Adopted from the local animal shelter, these two have it made in the shade. They get to run and frolick on the ranch and are spoiled rotten by Juan and Lisa. What more could two little cast offs ask for?
Chepe is such a joy to photograph. He's got such an expressive little face. And I just love his coloring.
He's just a bundle of energy and curiosity. On this particular day he was totally infatuated with my daughter's shoelaces! I'm no dummy. Mine were double-tied. :)
Chepe has certainly changed since this photo was taken! He's literally 3 times as big! He's like a little horse, actually!!! I will get some new pics of him next time I'm there so ya'll can see just how big he's gotten!
Chola was just out of the vet on the day these pics were taken. She was a little underweight and a little tired after her stay at the animal shelter. She spent most of her day just soaking up the sun. I'm happy to report that she's fat and sassy now! And growing like a weed!
Chepe pretty much uses Chola as a chew toy. But she fights back when necessary. You can see she's got some mighty ferocious little teeth in there!!!

Running and playing is really hard work. Occassionally you just got to plop down and take a little rest.
